Prayer and Answers
Questions about the Prayer Summit were answered. However, many answers remain to be seen. And isn’t that the way things usually go?
A New Beginning
The questions about who and how many were answered. A group responded to the call for prayer. It’s hard to say there was a surprise since there was no way to anticipate who would come. Even so, I was a little taken by the fact that one drove over from Huntsville. It was great to renew that relationship and introduce friends to each other.
People responding to what I believe is God’s call for us to pray was humbling and encouraging. There was an obvious presence of the Holy Spirit in our prayer time. And that was the great blessing of the evening. But there is also anticipation. The evening also contained the unusual. We prayed for the churches and ministries around us and for each other’s churches. When was the last time you heard someone praying for the ministry of a church they didn’t attend?
Oak trees are very large trees. But like all things, size is achieved by growth. Oaks are small and they grow. Part of our prayer time was for a growing desire to pursue God in prayer for our nation, for revival, and for His glory. What begins with a few can grow to heights we cannot imagine. Will you join us in that prayer?
There will be another Prayer Summit soon. We certainly hope and pray others will be able to participate. I am still hoping and praying someone else has done this in their community. If I hear about it, you will! But in the meantime, please pray for God to grow the prayer circle and do what only He can do.
Feeling blessed and grateful!
