Equipping For Life – Using New Website

01/22/2019 By Keith Burnett

Equipping For Life: it’s what advertisers call a tagline. You will recognize many taglines. A short reminder list would include:

  • Coca Cola: the real thing.
  • Dollar Shave Club: Shave time, shave money (I’m a member – good service!).
  • Lay’s: Betcha can’t eat just one.
  • DeBeer’s: A diamond is forever.
  • M&Ms: Melts in your mouth, not in your hand.

But for you, me, and everyone who claims the name of Christ, Equipping For Life is much more than a tagline. It is what we are called and commissioned to do. And that divine calling is why the new website is put together around this theme. So this is our second post about using the new site – and when we open the new site these posts will be transferred so they will still be available and helpful.

Equipping For Life: Equip.Us Blog

Equipping For LifeYesterday’s post addressed the blog’s location in the new website. And even though the complete blog list is not on the opening page, a good deal of it is there. How much of it is viewable will depend on whether or not the viewer is a browsing guest or a website member. But the full membership discussion is for a later post.

Blog posts on the front page are arranged around eight categories I call life-missions. What God has commanded us to do is our mission. So, how many missions do we have? There are many. I addressed this briefly at the close of the previous post. Here, I’ll address these life-missions more completely. If you have questions, or comments, please feel free to share those below or send an email.

Equipping For Life – The Life-Missions

The first graphic is a link to posts/teaching on the Church. This is a life-mission shared by all believers. Why? We are members of the body of Christ, which He named His Church. He is the Head of the body. Scripture has a great deal to say about what the Church is, how it is to function, and what it is meant to accomplish. The problem is we all think we know all that stuff. Let me tell you why I disagree and what we will do about that through the new website.

Equipping For LifeIt is my privilege to do some fun but challenging things. I get to study and research course materials to equip pastors and churches. That is possible because people participate with me in this Equipping For Life ministry. They do that through direct support, volunteering, and prayer. One course we worked through is what I entitled, The Essential Nature of the Church. What made it so challenging was my methodology in putting it together. The goal was to define and describe the Church without reference to tradition, culture, denomination, or expectation. If you try that, you will see it is anything but easy. You’d be surprised how often we bring our traditions and/or culture to bear in defining a Biblical concept. So posts linked to this section help equip readers/supporters as effective members of the body of Christ.

Discipleship Mission

Every believer is a disciple. The Holy Spirit’s job is to conform each of us into the image of Christ. And since that task won’t be complete until we see Him face to face (it’s then we will be fully like Him), our discipleship-mission is never over. We don’t graduate from discipleship school – well… not as long as we are breathing! So this body of posts would apply to any and all.

God-First Living

Jesus had a way of distilling Scriptural truth into memorable, simple ways to live. He gave us two great commandments. We know to love God first and foremost with all of our being, And we know to love our neighbor as ourselves. Jesus also commissioned us to represent Him and His Kingdom in this world. We are to make disciples of all nations, teaching them to obey all that He has commanded us. Wow! That sounds a lot like equipping for life. O wait! That’s what all of us are supposed to do. And that is why your help in this ministry is so essential. I am not the only equipper. We, together, are equipping others. Please keep that in mind. Posts in this section will provide practical insights and application regarding Jesus’ two great commands and His commission.

The Marriage Mission

This body of posts will help equip believers who are married. Marriage is God’s idea and His Word addresses the subject. And this mission serves to illustrate the fact that Christians have missions in common but we also have missions we don’t share with others. Some people are single. They might be single again, widowed, or divorced. But the posts can still apply to all. Marriage could be part of the future for ourselves or our loved ones. And it’s much more likely to be a great marriage if we are properly equipped.

There are four other sections of posts on the front page. We will address those subjects in the next post. Please let us hear from you if you have comments or questions.

Soli Deo Gloria!

What Will Yours Say?

02/01/2016 By Keith Burnett

Mission Investment

Did your W2 arrive this past week? This annual event is part of our government’s tax collection mission. From a tax payer’s perspective, this all seems very important. To a degree, it is. But it pales in comparison to our other earnings report. This report is just as real as your W2 and incredibly more important. The problem is, you have yet to to see it! And all this raises important questions.

Mission: Contribute to ERS

If we actually got a “W2” from Heaven, would it change anything we do? When the IRS form arrives, many people take action. What action depends on the situation, but action is taken. If there was an Eternal Revenue Service, what would we see recorded on the form? We are told to lay up for ourselves treasures in heaven. How is that done, and why am I asking?

Mission: Self Earning & Self Reporting

Other than this mildly creative effort, I can’t do much to write this post. You essentially write your own devotional thought about this. And that’s also true of your Eternal Earnings Report Notice that verse again: Lay up for yourselves…  What goes Heavn’s report for you is what you have personally sent ahead! And though you don’t get an annual report, there are actions you can take!

My Mission

Mission: Eternal Earnings ReportIn this post, I have two agendas. FIRST, to make you think in ways you probably haven’t thought before. You’ve never seen what I called an Eternal Earnings Report, but you will get a report on Kingdom earnings! And asking my questions at this time of year might help you take appropraite actions to be sure you like your report when you get it!

SECOND, I want to remind you of good investment opportunities. Ever made a poor investment with dollars? Its possible to make poor Kingdom investments. How? Just turn on your television or radio. You’ll hear any number of ministries asking for help. Some are good. Many are led by what the Bible calls false prophets. They are also called wolves in sheep’s clothing. Pretty sure those qualify as poor investments!

Mission Opportunity = Investment Opportunity

Some incredible investment opportunities are just around the corner! Anyone can invest them and the return on investment is guaranteed by the Word of God. The following investment opportunities need prayer, equipping, and staffing (all good investments!):

  • Samana, Dominican Republic (1st of March) – Through the pastors training school, we will literally be sending the Gospel around the world. How?  We will work together to get the Word into the hands of world travelers coming to Samana for whaling season. We need your prayers and your help.
  • Barahona, Dominican Republic (April) – We need a construction team to convert the third floor of the orphanage into living quarters for the new orphanage Director. We need to move the Director and his family on site. Construction help and some funding is needed.
  • Pastors’ School, Belize (April) – Construction help is needed to assist churches in the Toledo district of southern Belize. When we invest in a church, how far does our investment go?

I won’t pretend my ministry with ROW is the only good opportunity to invest in your Eternal Earnings Report. It isn’t. However, it is a good one. As I reported to our readers in December, we saw over 1,100 people come to Christ in 2015. How many more heard and haven’t yet responded? How many lives were changed because of the effort? How many mission volunteers came home better equipped to serve at home? What’s the point? Those 1.100 were just the tip of the iceberg! Only God sees it all and only He can reward it all. And reward it He will.

The real question is: What action will YOU take to invest in your Eternal Earnings Report? Think about it!

Soli Deo Gloria!

Sounds of the Season – Kings

12/10/2015 By Keith Burnett

Sounds of the Season

Sounds of the Season Devotional – Kings

Actually, Scripture says wise men from the east came to see Jesus. In a beloved Christmas carol they are immortalized as kings. How many were there? We aren’t sure. Tradition says three kings because there were three gifts given. You know them well:

  • Gold
  • Frankincense
  • Myrrh

Each gift was significant and that is part of the video. It’s worth repeating here that wise men not only sought Jesus, they gave to Jesus. These men were wise enough to seek the Savior. People today should be so wise. But what about those gifts?

Sounds of the Season – Gifts

We see gifts all around us. We see ads trying to get us to buy gifts. But think about those first gifts. Why were they brought? Even today it’s fairly common to take a hostess gift to a party or a dinner. The giving of a gift recognizes the importance of the recipient. It acknowledges their place or station in life. Our gift is a tangible expression of those thoughts.

The wise men, kings they may have been, understood Who Jesus was. They understood His place in the universe was much higher than theirs. Their actions were a visible expression of the wisdom in Proverbs:

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

gifts under the tree 2Much as been said about the gifts they brought. For now, just take notice they brought gifts. And while we are consumed with giving and getting gifts for ourselves, let me pose an important queston about our gift(s) to Jesus: (see it at the end of the video!)

Soli Deo Gloria!

Next Year: In A Picture

12/04/2015 By Keith Burnett

Barahona mission volunteers

Connections: Mission 2016

Old sayings, proverbs, and common sense: these things have a way of turning up in life. Every so often we get a picture that verifies what we all know – a picture is worth a 1,000 words. In November, we took one of those pictures. In it, we can see most of the connections to any year of mission and ministry. Let’s connect it to 2016.

Connections: The Projects

The project in the picture is a latrine for a family in a Dominican batey. Think of it more generically. That latrine is one of a number of projects undertaken by ROW Evangelism mission teams. Here are some of the things it could represent:

  • Church Concstruction
  • Sports Evangelism
  • Pastor Training
  • Community Education
  • Medical Mission
  • Evangelistic Crusade
  • Vacation Bible School
  • Sewing Schools
  • Distributing Solar Bibles

Our teams usually have multiple projects to undertake while they are in-country. No matter the project, the team must be equipped. That equipping comes in two forms. First, churches, organizations, and individuals donate needed items like Bibles, fabric, medicines, or sports equipment. Second, these same people donate funds to meet mission project needs. Both things are necessary.

Helping Hands Facebook Banner

Connections: The People

You see several mission team members in the picture. Teams have to be equipped and sent. Whatever the mission project, it is accomplished by ROW mission volunteers. People are often faced with a temptation:

I can’t go, therefore I don’t have to be engaged.

The enemy loves for people to believe that lie. Many things can legitamately keep someone from being a mission volunteer. However, there are a number of things they can do to engage:

  • Be on a prayer team
  • Help raise funds for mission projects
  • Help send a person who can go
  • Encourage others to go

Connections: Leadership

As I have said many times, every mission has two components. Each contains people and at least one project. Too often, attention is narrowly focused on the mission event. That leads to missing another one of the mission connections: leadership. Mission projects don’t just happen. People and projects need leadership. It makes the connections between:

  • Planning
  • Coordination
  • Training
  • Equipping
  • Mission execution
  • Mission follow-up

In this case, mission leadership is the role I have been given. That list above is what I do for many mission teams in the course of a year. It is a full-time effort. And as I shared in the previous post, it is something God has blessed and we celebrate that!

Connections: Necessary Support

Helping HandsTo me, the striking part of the picture is the man on the bottom of the ladder, Josh. He was a mission volunteer. He is not weilding the hammer. That is being done by Isaac. He is a Dominican young man I have known for some time now. The problem they faced was a ladder that was too short. And that is such a picture of how God’s children should accomplish His work!

My ‘ladder‘ is too short when it comes to the work I do. I don’t have enough time, enough resources, or enough help. Like Isaac, I need to be ‘up there‘ leading, training, and equipping. I have been blessed with a great number of people like Josh! They are willing and able to hold me up while I do what needs to be done. And that is the connection more people need to see. Why? Because there is always more to do than we have people or resources to meet.

Connections: Missions & Christmas

gifts under the tree 2So what’s the point to all these mission connections? YOU are needed. Please pray, promote, encourage, and engage. And as you complete your Christmas giving lists, please include ROW Evangelism in your giving. That will make it much easier to plan the mission work of 2016! It is fitting that Heaven’s mission story (Christmas) has a place in our giving plans.

Soli Deo Gloria!

Accomplishments of Helping Hands

12/02/2015 By Keith Burnett

Helping Hands

Helping Hands – Pressing On

How does one keep on accomplishing great things? Many answers are possible, but there are two I’d like to share. First, great things get in the way of accomplishing great things. Huh? Human nature tends to recognize accomplishment and celebrate it. Nothing wrong there. BUT, the next thing that often happens is a problem.

Helping Hands – Celebrating

So what is there to celebrate? This time of year is busy for many reasons. For us, one reason is to review the year, see what God has done, and encourage you with that news. During 2015, many of you have done the following:

  • Pray
  • Join a mission/vision team
  • Equip teams
  • Give to ministry support
  • Send another person on mission because you couldn’t go

What has all that accomplished?

Helping HandsThe full answer won’t be known until we reach heaven. What we do know is over 1,100 people have come to faith in Christ this year. THAT is a huge reason to give thanks and celebrate. The mission teams you equipped, the pastors you helped us teach, the churches those pastors faithfully equipped, and preaching the Gospel at every opportunity has borne fruit.

That fruit is just the part that is visible to us. I have no doubt there were others who came to faith through our ministries. I also know many team members returned home with new vision, new dedication, and the future ministry of their churches will be impacted for many years. That’s why I said we won’t fully know the scope of our work in 2015 this side of heaven.

Helping Hands – Following An Example

It is right to celebrate because GOD has done great things. It hasn’t been about any one person or team. His story is about His use of all of us to accomplish His will. But there is also a danger in the celebration. As I said earlier, our nature is the problem. We tend to put our hands down, disengage, and live in the past. This is how great things get in the way of accomplishng great things!

I have served churches that were stuck in the past. I don’t want to live there. The Apostle Paul gave us instruction (a solution) through his own example in Philippians 3:

Not that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus. Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

As we have noted in the Giving Tuesday posts, this is the time of year many ministries receive significant portions of their annual budgets. There are many reasons for that. Some are good and others are not.

The Greatest Mission Story ever told begins at Christmas. Jesus, sent from the Father, came to earth. He came to seek and to save those who are lost. That was you and me. Our salvation was the result of His mission. But His mission (our mission) also includes those we have yet to reach with the Gospel. It’s right for us to celebrate, but the job isn’t done.

The opportunities we have for next year are many and varied. Please stay tuned as I share them with you this month. And as you see what lies before us, please engage. Pray, give, send, and equip. In essence, keep on doing those things you have so faithfully done. More later!

Soli Deo Gloria!

How To Make A Difference

12/01/2015 By Keith Burnett

Helping Hands Giving Tuesday

Helping Hands – Insightful Giving

Today is Giving Tuesday. Yesterday, I mentioned giving gifts that last and I promised to give some help in making good giving decisions.

What difference does it make when we give? That’s not rhetorical. It’s the question that should guide our giving. Are there many worthy causes? Yes! But are there places where one’s limited resources can make a difference? What places will make the biggest difference?

Helping Hands – Making an Eternal Difference

Let get to the bottom line as fast as possible. Let’s say I have $1,000.00 to give to a worthy organization. Is that best spent in medical research or on something else? Let me ask it another way. Is it best to heal the body or heal the soul? The body is temporary but the soul is eternal. So, I would suggest it’s best to use my available resources to heal souls.

I thought about listing names of sound, evangelical organizations. Giving good examples would mean I’d leave some group out. Since my goal is about a guiding principle, not a specific organization, let’s stick with that. When or if you know a group, ministry, or organization is reaching people with the Gospel then I’d say it’s good stewardship to invest Kingdom resources there.

Given the above, I can assure you there are many organizations worthy of support. And since I am not directing you toward one, even this ministry, what is the point?

Giving Tuesday is a bit like Thanksgiving Day. Should we be thankful every day? Yes. Should God’s people be a giving people? Yes. Sometimes we just need a reminder. Giving Tuesday, and posts like this, serve as reminders. I could take up a great deal of space listing organizations that are making an eternal difference by sharing the Gospel. My encouragement to you is pretty simple: Invest your temporary resources in eternal things. That is, according to Jesus, one way for us to:

Lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven where moth and rust does not corrupt and thieves do not break in and steal.

Soli Deo Gloria!

Helping Hands – Gifts That Last

11/30/2015 By Keith Burnett

Helping Hands

What is Giving Tuesday?

That’s a legitimate question because many to do not know. Here is a cut-and-paste from the Giving Tuesday website:

WHAT IS #GIVINGTUESDAY?

We have a day for giving thanks. We have two for getting deals. Now, we have #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving back. On Tuesday, December 1, 2015, charities, families, businesses, community centers, and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give.

It’s a simple idea. Just find a way for your family, your community, your company or your organization to come together to give something more. Then tell everyone you can about how you are giving. Join us and be a part of a global celebration of a new tradition of generosity.

Helping Hands – A Vital Necessity

How many times have we seen a ‘must have’ gift be forgotten in light of something bigger and shinier? Most parents have experienced that before Christmas Day is over! Most of us have looked for ways to give gifts that matter. I have a few answers!

Earlier this year we did a little theme development on this website and our Facebook page. It’s about Helping Hands. That is such a graphic image of how this ministry continues to operate and meet needs.

What you may not know is the percentage of annual budget most ministries receive in December. There’s a reason retailers refer to Black Friday. And ministries have a similar experience. Many worthy ministry organizations receive 25% or more of their annual budget in December. Giving Tuesday is a way to help organize, promote, and increase that giving.

Helping Hands – Our Limitations

As the old saying goes, I’m not made out of money! I got that. Neither are we. So how does a person or family decide the best place to invest a limited number of dollars?

Tomorrow is the ‘official’ day but gifts will come during the entire month. Many businesses have promotions connected with the one-day event. For example, PayPal is giving an additional 1% of all qualified donations made on Giving Tuesday. If given through PayPal, $100.00 becomes $101.00. Similar offers are out there.

But the problem still remains. How do we give a gift that makes a difference? What determines where we place a finite amount of resources? Answers tomorrow on #Giving Tuesday. Why? Because Helping Hands want to know! 🙂

How to Ask the Right Questions

10/27/2015 By Keith Burnett

Mission Questions

Mission Questions: What is the Mission?

In my earlier post, I shared ROW’s goal of establishing healthy communities of faith. I also mentioned being a fan of I, Robot (see cover photo) and Detective Spooner’s instruction to ask the right quesitons. We then looked at a series of questions that need to be answered. This series of posts is about answering those questions, but it can also serve as a guide to learning to ask the right questions. Why is that important? Right questions lead to right answers!

As Christians, or as a Christian mission organization (ROW), is there a model to follow? We should always look for previous success where our questions are concerned. What are the possibilities for identifying a suitable model? We could list several:

  • The Apostle Paul
  • Mother Teresa
  • William Carey
  • Hudson Taylor

These and many more were successful Christian missionaries. Is there a better model? Yes! Surely I’d get no disagreement if I said Jesus was the best model. Why would I say that? There are at least two reasons:

  • He was perfect in all His ways, therefore without error or sin
  • He defined His own mission

Mission Questions: What Was Jesus’ Mission

At the beginning of Jesus’ ministry, He defined His mission. It’s interesting to note where and how He did it. First, He did it in church. Well, it was the synagogue, but it was His normal place of worship. How do I know that? The synagogue was in Nazareth and that’s where Jesus grew up (see Luke 4). So it was in the very routine setting of weekly worship that Jesus stood and read from the book of Isaiah:

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed me to bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to captives and freedom to prisoners; to proclaim the favorable year of the LORD…

Just so you know, that was the verse God used to call me, as a 17 year old boy, into His service and ministry. Jesus stopped reading in the middle of that second verse. There is a whole lesson there because the end of verse two has not yet happened. But what He did read defined and described His earthly mission as He lived in human form.

My next question may stretch you a bit. But in some form it is probably already in your thinking:

That was Jesus’ mission. How is it a model for my mission?

Would it help you if I pointed you to Ephesians 5:1? There, Paul tells believers to be imitators of Christ, just as children imitate parents or other adults. That should be enough, but some might need a little more to make the connection to Jesus’ mission. Would it suprise you to know Jesus Himself gives you and me that same mission? Don’t think so? Look at John 20:21 –

As the Father sent Me, so send I you!

Mission Questions: What is My Mission?

Your mission, my mission, our mission is rooted in Isaiah 61:1-2a because that was Jesus’ mission. That’s it, but there’s more. Jesus’ statement in John 20:21 means our mission is whatever we see Him doing as we read His Word. He literally gave the totality of His mission to us. The thing is, He didn’t change it first or dumb it down so we could handle it. And there is a reason for that, too!

Jesus said apart from Him we can’t do anything. His Spirit, His power, and His love enable us to represent Him to the captives, to those who need good news, and those who are brokenhearted. It’s a big mission. But in Him and through Him we can accomplish it in His name for His glory!

Tomorrow: Asking more of the right questions!

Soli Deo Gloria!

Most Like Jesus When…?

09/25/2015 By Keith Burnett

Misson Volunteers

Is it the Right Question?

How many different ways has that sentence been completed? Mission volunteers may often hear we are most like Jesus when we are on mission. But Jesus (God) has many significant characteristics. The best known Bible verse in the world is John 3:16 –

For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.

So if we are giving we are also like God. John 3:16 and I Corinthians 13 show we are also like God if we love. So what’s my point?

Mission Volunteers – Like Jesus

One of our Savior’s significant traits is creativity. As a matter of fact, He is creativity. And I want to show you some amazingly creative stuff in this post!

John 1 tells us that nothing that was created came into being without Jesus (the Word). He is the source and agent of creation. So we are like Him when we are using the creativity He put within us. Think about that!

The cover photo is something called Word Art – and I don’t mean the Microsoft kind. Some creative mind took the word peace from many different languages and shaped those words into the universal symbol for peace. That’s good. But what I want you to see is inspired creativity with a purpose.

Mission Volunteers – Creativity With Purpose

IMG_0828The Sewing Circle is a group of ladies who meet weekly to sew quilts. That’s a ministry of their local church. I have shared their work in previous posts and taken their work with me to the mission field. Their quilts have a space to write the recipient’s name and Scripture is sewn in. Their creative efforts are used to share the Gospel. Most of them will never be on a foreign mission field, but that doesn’t stop them. They found a way to minister beyond the limits of health, geography, and finances. Our Belize team will taking the quilts you see in the pictures.

mission volunteersPumpkins – Another mission volunteer family is making pumpkins in order to fund their involvement with a ROW mission team. I love what they are doing. I am reasonably sure I would not have thought of that, but I am so glad they did. People are responding to them by making orders for their work. Their trip costs will be raised that way and they will have another opportunity to be on the front lines of mission work in November.

Blueberries – Mission volunteers seem to have immense creativity. One family who has a blueberry farm has used the sale of their blueberries in order to fund their involvement with a ROW Evangelism team.

Mission Volunteers – Multiple Likenesses

Mission volunteers are like Jesus in many ways. That includes:

  • Giving
  • Loving
  • Creative
  • Missional
  • Obedience

If mission volunteers can be creative in going, how creative can you be in sending? Every mission volunteer team, including the one that leaves next week and the one that leaves next month, needs your help. Apply your own creativity to that which will allow you to use the donate tab on the upper right side of this page.

Oh yes. About that question at the top. There isn’t just one answer. We should just leave out the word most. Our Father is many, many wonderful things. And He is infinite in them all!

Soli Deo Gloria!

P.S. It wouldn’t take to much creative effort to put a comment at the end of this post and let me know you’d like a pumpkin. I’ll connect you to those folks.

Cause to Celebrate!

08/27/2015 By Keith Burnett

Michael and Cori – ROW Mission Volunteers

Mission Volunteers & Answered Prayer

How many ways can we say, “God is good!”? I have no idea how many times in this blog I have referenced Ephesians 3:20:

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly and abundantly more than we can ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen.

Gratitude for Your Prayers

Over the past several months I have shared in multiple formats our search for some administrative help. Just a few days ago, someone came up to me and said,

We feel led to help you with ROW’s mission work. What can we do to help?

Did you notice the We in that statement? I had been looking for a person and God’s answer was two people! It’s safe to say God knew how many mission volunteers I needed. But this story just gets better!

Mission Volunteers

Cori praying for Dominican woman in Brisas del Mar

Cori praying for Dominican woman in Brisas del Mar

Everyone knows we engage mission volunteers for work in other countries. This search has been for someone to help here at home. Michael and Cori are the couple that came to me. Cori will help with admin and Michael wants to help raise mission project funds and engage future mission volunteers. Michael and Cori have been volunteers on multiple ROW mission projects.

More Than We Can Ask or Imagine

God wasn’t finished answering your prayers! Yesterday a man stopped me and we had a conversation almost identical to the one I had with Michael and Cori. It’s difficult to list all the emotions of these conversations. I was:

  • Grateful – for your prayers and God’s obvious answers
  • Amazed – at the abundance of God’s answers
  • Humbled – by the richness of His provision
  • Encouraged – that His people hear His voice and respond

Continuing Needs

I know. You thought there was no further need for mission volunteers. Remember, volunteers are always needed. We have Fall missions approaching quickly. Here are needs YOU can volunteer to help us meet:

  • A new generator for the church in Santa Teresa, Belize
  • Cement/block for an outside wall & walkway for Santa Teresa church
  • Building materials for church construction in Barahona, Dom. Rep.
  • Funding for three pastor training schools

In addition to the above, we have a couple of mission volunteers who need help funding their mission. If you’ve followed this blog very long, you know this is not unusual. God often calls people to go and that requires a step of faith. Others cannot go for one reason or another but God calls them to a sending role. That is also a step of faith.

Two Final Things

Everyone can pray – please pray for God to meet the needs above in His abundant fashion. And remember to offer a prayer of thanks for the prayers He has already answered.

Everyone can’t give in dramatic amounts, but the truth is almost everyone can give a little bit. If that happens, we will have more than enough to fund the projects and send those needing assistance. You can exercise your faith by CLICKING on the DONATE tab! Think about it. 🙂

Soli Deo Gloria!

The 29:29 Principle

29:29 – What people are saying

There's a lot of meat in this book; the more times you read it, the more you get from it. Challenges you to see scripture you have read many times in a fresh new way and apply to your daily life.

Judi T

The 29:29 principle caused me to go deeper in the scriptures. I saw things that I had not seen before. The fact that it was free for me and not free any longer should not keep you from reading it.
