Our mission volunteers have had in interesting day! Last night in our sharing time we discovered this mission team is being prayed for in at least 8 countries and at least 12 different states in the U.S. That is awesome and it is encouraging. If a mission is going to have Kingdom success it will come through the prayers of God’s people!
The collage below shows our Sunday afternoon activity. We did our final prep for the medical clinic that will begin tomorrow. Our mission volunteers will offer medical services in four locations in and around La Romana over the next five days. However, I think you already know the medical work is not the goal of this mission or these mission volunteers.
After we prepped everything we prepped everyone! We went through a series of role play as we shared the Gospel with clinic “visitors.” Of course we played the part of the visitors as well as the translators. It was pretty funny at times, but necessary. The medical mission gains us the right to be heard as we share the Gospel message. When lost people see the Gospel, then hear the Gospel, it makes a lot more sense. Then they are more likely to respond favorably to God’s message of forgiveness. That is why the medicine is a means to to mission, not the mission itself. And it is also why you, the people in those 12+ states, and 8+ countries need to continue to pray!
Soli Deo Gloria!
