My love of humor got the best of me! I was researching a bit and ran across a Christian humor site. There were things there I’d heard in one version or another but I kept looking because we all love a good story. My favorites are the ‘surprise’ punch lines. Our stories section has always been stuff that really happened in church. But Proverbs 17:22 just says a ‘merry heart’ does good like a medicine, it doesn’t designate the source of laughter.
All that said, here’s the story I read and there’s a link to the source at the bottom of the page. Enjoy!!!
The Lone Ranger and Tonto went camping in the desert. After getting their tent set up, both of them quickly fell sound asleep. A few hours later, Tonto woke the Lone Ranger and said, “Kemo Sabe, look toward the sky! What you see?” The Lone Ranger looked up and said, “I see millions of stars.” Tonto asked, “What that tell you?” The Lone Ranger pondered for a minute and said, “Astronomically speaking it tells me there are millions of galaxies and potentially billions of planets. Astrologically speaking, I see Saturn is in Leo. As to time, it appears to be approximately a quarter past three in the morning. Theologically speaking, the Lord is all-powerful and we are small and insignificant. Meteorologically speaking, it seems we will have a beautiful day tomorrow. What does it tell you, Tonto?” Tonto exclaimed, “You are dumber than a buffalo! Somebody stole our tent!”
Soli Deo Gloria!
