I want very much to see you, so I may impart to you some spiritual gift to strengthen you, that is, to be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith, both yours and mine. – The Apostle Paul (Romans 1:11-12)
Some people have the faith to GO, others to SEND, and others to PRAY. What an encouragement to all! And who doesn’t need or want encouragement?
Like Paul, I want to give to you encouragement. God has given me two things to share: a pastor/teacher gift to encourage and educate for Great Commandment living and a ministry to encourage and engage others in Great Commission work. Whether I am teaching, preaching, or writing, my sincere desire is to encourage the family of God. The encouragement I receive from those who volunteer as prayer partners, mission team members, mission equippers, or contributors to day-to-day ministry expenses, exceeds my ability to describe it. So I want to use what I’ve been given to be an encouragement to you and others.
One role of this site is to share our stories of faith, of answered prayer, and missional success as encouragement for each other. After all, it was also the Apostle Paul who wrote: Let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. (Galatians 6:9) What’s a great way not to lose heart? Encouragement!
