Mission Volunteers & Answered Prayer
How many ways can we say, “God is good!”? I have no idea how many times in this blog I have referenced Ephesians 3:20:
Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly and abundantly more than we can ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen.
Gratitude for Your Prayers
Over the past several months I have shared in multiple formats our search for some administrative help. Just a few days ago, someone came up to me and said,
We feel led to help you with ROW’s mission work. What can we do to help?
Did you notice the We in that statement? I had been looking for a person and God’s answer was two people! It’s safe to say God knew how many mission volunteers I needed. But this story just gets better!
Everyone knows we engage mission volunteers for work in other countries. This search has been for someone to help here at home. Michael and Cori are the couple that came to me. Cori will help with admin and Michael wants to help raise mission project funds and engage future mission volunteers. Michael and Cori have been volunteers on multiple ROW mission projects.
More Than We Can Ask or Imagine
God wasn’t finished answering your prayers! Yesterday a man stopped me and we had a conversation almost identical to the one I had with Michael and Cori. It’s difficult to list all the emotions of these conversations. I was:
- Grateful – for your prayers and God’s obvious answers
- Amazed – at the abundance of God’s answers
- Humbled – by the richness of His provision
- Encouraged – that His people hear His voice and respond
I know. You thought there was no further need for mission volunteers. Remember, volunteers are always needed. We have Fall missions approaching quickly. Here are needs YOU can volunteer to help us meet:
- A new generator for the church in Santa Teresa, Belize
- Cement/block for an outside wall & walkway for Santa Teresa church
- Building materials for church construction in Barahona, Dom. Rep.
- Funding for three pastor training schools
In addition to the above, we have a couple of mission volunteers who need help funding their mission. If you’ve followed this blog very long, you know this is not unusual. God often calls people to go and that requires a step of faith. Others cannot go for one reason or another but God calls them to a sending role. That is also a step of faith.
Two Final Things
Everyone can pray – please pray for God to meet the needs above in His abundant fashion. And remember to offer a prayer of thanks for the prayers He has already answered.
Everyone can’t give in dramatic amounts, but the truth is almost everyone can give a little bit. If that happens, we will have more than enough to fund the projects and send those needing assistance. You can exercise your faith by CLICKING on the DONATE tab! Think about it. 🙂
Soli Deo Gloria!
